Treasure hunting!

The girls and I did a little treasure hunting today at the thrift store....my favorite! I picked up a ton of good stuff for next to nothing! I think my best find today was a very old book titled Family Home Library. It was falling apart but I couldn't resist it for $1. Anyway, I will hopefully be making some freebie papers from the amazing illustrations in it, but I've already used part of it in a project for myself. I drilled a hole in the cover and made a new clock for my kitchen. It's cool, even if my husband says he can't see the black hands on the black leather. Maybe I'll take them off and use a file to distress them, I'm sure there's silver under the black paint. I made a second piece to hang on the wall and they both look good. I like sets of 3, but my third attempt was just ugly. So I'm trying to keep my mind open to creative flashes...I'll post pictures soon.

Horse Freebie

Here is a fun little freebie with a horse theme. Lola LOVES yee-haws, that's really what she calls them-and she inspired me to make this little set. There is one 12x12 paper, 1 overlay and 7 glitter "stickers". Enjoy them!

Sis, Lola and I found this special tree at a park at the beginning of summer. I couldn't resist taking a picture. The love-knot is so beautiful. I don't know, maybe I'm weird but it makes me think that God's love is everywhere around us...

Dead Men Tell No Tales! FREEBIE

I just finished working on my newest library posters. This theme is pirates. I made the posters and ended up having to extract elements to make them look cool. On display they are "Known Pirates" (8.5x14), "Dead Men Tell No Tales" (11x17) and "Fictional Pirates" (8.5x14). Here is a set of 11 PNGs that might be fun for you all to use. Okay, I have folders and folders of ideas for digital scrapbooking and they are all in one form of completion or other....so here's my goal for June and July. I will work a little each day to clear out folders, and as I do I will post freebies for everyone to enjoy. So much needs extracted....
